Shauna Korstad Brace Shauna Korstad Brace was born in Castro Valley, CA — a small town about 45 minutes from San Francisco - but learned to knit while living in Trondheim, Norway in 1987. Knitting provides Shauna a relaxing outlet for her creative side and, she finds that producing something beautiful is always rewarding. Each of Shauna's scarves is different and special, featuring 2-3 different yarns for each scarf design. Since she knits and pearls every inch of each scarf, Shauna often brings her knitting with her almost everywhere she goes. "Knitting a scarf is an activity that I can do almost anywhere at anytime," she said. "I've brought knitting with me on road trips, to doctor's appointments and anywhere there's a waiting room, to sporting events and meetings." Shauna does the majority of her knitting in the fall and winter months when she can sit on the couch or in a comfy chair and just relax. "Ideally when I'm knitting there's a crackling fire and some mellow music along with a good cup of coffee and possibly a friend to chat with," she said. "Realistically, there's usually football on the TV with my husband cheering on his teams and my 3-year old pretending to be Spider-Man and periodically jumping onto me while pretending to fly.
